Idealday 2022: Caring for the planet and helping to fight climate change

Edenred makes a daily commitment to responsibility and a social role in the local communities where it operates. The Ideal Program reflects this commitment and has three main lines of action:

• Ideal People: improving people’s quality of life, whether they work for Edenred or not;
• Ideal Planet: preserving the environment and contributing to the sustainability of the planet;
• Ideal Progress: achieving progress based on strong ethical principles and a commitment to security and data protection.

As part of Ideal Planet, Edenred develops initiatives every year that unite employees around a goal related to environmental sustainability.

In 2022, this goal focused on reforestation and forest protection, with a special focus on fire prevention and safeguarding biodiversity. For this reason, the Edenred Portugal team teamed up with the Plantar uma Árvore association and went to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park to take care of the newly planted trees and control invasive exotic species.
