Filipa Martins, general manager of Edenred Portugal, spoke to Executiva about the challenges she faces in this role, the decision to do The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova, and the impact it has had on her career. An advocate of the link between academia and companies, she recommends that young executives invest in training.
With more than 15 years’ experience in the digital media market, Filipa Martins has left the SAPO portal, an Altice Portugal brand and the largest aggregator of local content in the Portuguese market, to take on the role of general manager of Edenred Portugal, a company specializing in social benefits, whose best-known service is the meal card. “It’s a unique opportunity for me to be able to work in an industry that gives so much back to society, while continuing a career linked to technology and the internet,” she explains.
