Best Lunch 2026: Edenred’s initiative is back to elect the best restaurant for lunch in Portugal

There’s over €5000 in prizes on the table – for restaurants and for voters. Best Lunch 2026 is back and once again celebrates what makes the lunch break so special: good food, personalized service, and the moments that help us recharge our energy during the workday.

In 2025, the title was awarded to the restaurant O Passarinho. Now, the time has come to discover who will be Best Lunch 2026 – The Best Restaurant for Lunch.

What is Best Lunch 2026?

Best Lunch 2026 is Edenred’s initiative that recognizes the Portuguese people’s favorite restaurants for lunch. More than just a vote, it’s a way to acknowledge the establishments that are part of so many people’s work routine – places where you find flavor, a break, socializing, and well-being.

This mission is aligned with Edenred’s vision about the importance of the lunch hour: an essential moment to promote more balance, more joy in the workday and, consequently, more well-being and productivity. Celebrating local restaurants is also about supporting the restaurant sector and strengthening the connection between workers and local businesses, a dimension that Edenred values in its solutions and in the promotion of its partner establishment networks.

How to participate?

Voting for Best Lunch 2026 takes place online between September 7 and October 5, 2026, on the contest page.

Anyone can vote and all restaurants are eligible: they just need to have their business listed on Google Business Profile.

What are the Best Lunch 2026 prizes?

There are prizes for voters and for the distinguished restaurants.

For voters:

5 Edenred Gift cards of €200 each, drawn among participants.

For the winning restaurant:

Title of “Best Lunch 2026 – The Best Restaurant for Lunch“;
Up to €4000 in prizes:
- Voucher for €1500 in purchases at Recheio;
- Voucher for €1500 in Repsol fuel and energy;
- Edenred Gift cards of €100 for each employee, up to 10 employees;
- DIG-IN consulting session with a 6-month communication plan;
- Exclusive article in NiT.

For the remaining Top 10 restaurants

“Top 10 Best Lunch 2026” certificate;
€100 voucher for purchases at Recheio;
€100 voucher for Repsol fuel and energy.

Start preparing your communication now, encourage voting, and invite those who visit you to support their favorite restaurant. The greater the mobilization, the greater the chance of reaching the Top 10 – or even winning first place.

To help you, Edenred has prepared a communication kit:

Print the poster and display it on a visible wall in your restaurant. Also use this image to print table markers. This way, while waiting for their meal, your customers can vote for you.
Print the stickers and place them in strategic locations, such as near the register or at the entrance door.
Use the images to make posts on your social media and appeal for votes: you can use the frames to place over photos of your restaurant or use the ready-made images we provide.
